Audi unveils Nuvolari hybrid supercar with 1,001 hp

Audi introduced the Nuvolari, its first hybrid supercar and the most powerful road‑legal vehicle it has ever produced. The car combines an 800 hp 4.0‑litre V8 biturbo engine with three 150 hp electric motors, delivering a total output of 1,001 hp and 2,150 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0‑100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, tops out above 350 km/h, and features active aerodynamics, carbon‑fiber body panels and a carbon‑aluminium chassis that keeps dry weight under 1,750 kg.

Production will be limited to 499 units, priced at €600,000 before taxes. Deliveries are expected from mid‑2027, with sales beginning in 2028. The Nuvolari’s design draws on historic Italian racer Tazio Nuvolari and shares powertrain elements with the Lamborghini Temerario, while employing Audi’s quattro Predictive Ride system for advanced torque distribution. Prototypes were photographed on the Nürburgring and shown during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend.
