Audi unveils Nuvolari hybrid supercar with 1,001 PS, limited to 499 units

Audi announced the Nuvolari, a limited‑edition plug‑in hybrid supercar named after 1930s racing legend Tazio Nuvolari. The model will be produced in a run of 499 units and is scheduled for customer delivery in the first half of 2027.

Powered by a twin‑turbocharged 4.0‑liter V8 delivering 800 PS together with three electric motors, the Nuvolari reaches a combined output of 1,001 PS (730 Nm). Audi claims 0‑62 mph (0‑100 km/h) in 2.6 seconds, a top speed of 217 mph, and an active aerodynamics system with a variable rear wing. The chassis uses an aluminium space frame with carbon‑fibre body panels, and the interior features minimalist design with aluminium and carbon‑fibre components. The car marks Audi’s return to the supercar market and showcases technology developed for its Formula 1 programme.
