Audi Nuvolari supercar debuts with 1,001 horsepower

Audi has unveiled the Nuvolari, a new high-performance hybrid supercar that marks a significant technical milestone for the brand. Named after the legendary racing driver Tazio Nuvolari, the vehicle features a biturbo V8 engine paired with an electric system, producing a combined output of approximately 1,001 horsepower.

The car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.6 seconds and reaching top speeds exceeding 350 km/h. While the Nuvolari utilizes the chassis and mechanical foundations of the Lamborghini Temerario, Audi has developed its own proprietary management for the hybrid system. The vehicle's construction incorporates a new version of the Audi Space Frame combined with carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer exterior panels to reduce weight.

Development of the first functional prototype was completed in 405 days, involving testing in Germany, Italy, and Spain. Formula 1 drivers Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto participated in the development process to refine handling and balance. Production is strictly limited to 499 units, with pricing expected to be in the upper $600,000 range. The model recently made its U.S. debut during Monterey Car Week in California.
