Audiencia Nacional maintains indictments in Spanish corruption probes

Regarding Rodríguez, the former partner of ex-minister José Luis Ábalos, prosecutors argue that her previous testimony does not preclude her responsibility in a scheme involving fraudulent contracts at public companies Ineco and Tragsatec. The investigation suggests the purpose of these contracts was to allow her to receive monthly salaries without performing actual work.
In a related development, the Audiencia Nacional confirmed the indictment of lawyer Leticia de la Hoz. She is accused of allegedly offering Carmen Pano up to 250,000 euros in bribes—including 25,000 euros for a wedding and monthly rent—to modify her testimony regarding cash payments made to the Ferraz headquarters on behalf of commission agent Víctor de Aldama.
Additionally, the prosecutor's office maintains the indictment of Ignacio Zaldívar, a former high-ranking official at Adif, for suspected influence peddling related to the hiring and retention of Rodríguez.
