Audiencia Nacional investigates alleged harassment of Spanish judges

An investigation by the Audiencia Nacional is examining allegations of a conspiracy aimed at destabilizing judicial proceedings involving the PSOE and the Spanish government. The case, overseen by Judge Santiago Pedraz, involves claims that individuals associated with a political group targeted judicial officials through harassment and disinformation.

In Badajoz, Judge Beatriz Biedma reportedly faced an unprecedented harassment campaign while investigating the brother of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. This included receiving threatening emails and false information. Additionally, individuals allegedly shared photographs of Badajoz judges in social settings to discredit them and suggest a lack of impartiality.

Further allegations involve the targeting of prosecutor Diego Yebra, who was a delegated prosecutor in Extremadura. Reports indicate that images of the prosecutor were shared within a WhatsApp group used to coordinate these actions. Judge Biedma has requested to join the proceedings as an injured party, alleging that the group contacted drug clans in Badajoz to facilitate attacks against her.
