Audiencia Nacional seeks approval for 50th anniversary logo

The Governing Chamber of the Audiencia Nacional has requested authorization from the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) to use a selected logo to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the court's establishment.

The court was founded following a Royal Decree-Law signed by former Prime Minister Adolfo Suárez and published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) on January 4, 1977. The chosen logo was designed by BOE officials, and the Governing Chamber unanimously decided it was the most suitable option for use in documentation, publications, and commemorative activities.

While approving the design, the Chamber suggested that the BOE should use a more intense shade for the year ‘1977’ within the logo. The decision followed a presentation by the President of the Audiencia Nacional, Juan Manuel Fernández Martínez, who offered two proposals: one from the BOE and another from the Audiencia Nacional's Press Office.
