Audifon leads consumer satisfaction in hearing aid industry survey
A customer survey conducted by the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) on behalf of ntv shows high levels of satisfaction among hearing aid users. The industry achieved an average score of 79.3 points, an increase of 3.9 points compared to the previous year. Out of 13 providers studied, seven received a rating of ‘very good’ and six were rated ‘good’.
Product quality was the highest-rated category with 83.2 points, driven by satisfaction with functionality and performance. Additionally, nearly 84 percent of respondents gave positive feedback regarding handling and comfort, specifically noting ease of cleaning, discrete appearance, and comfortable wear. Audifon emerged as the top brand, receiving ‘very good’ ratings and exceeding 90 percent positive feedback in both product quality and handling.
Despite the overall success, there is room for improvement regarding the price-performance ratio, which 20.5 percent of respondents identified as a concern. Common sources of dissatisfaction included high costs and device defects. Bianca Möller, Managing Director of DISQ, noted that more than two-thirds of respondents would choose their provider again, signaling strong customer loyalty.
