Audiovisual training project offers free courses for youth in Maricá and Rio
The “A Lente é Nossa: Semana da Economia Criativa” initiative is providing free audiovisual and creative economy training to youth in Rio de Janeiro and Maricá. The program offers practical immersion in areas such as screenwriting, directing, photography, content production, and narrative construction.
Idealized by AVS Eventos and sponsored by Caixa, the project aims to use the creative economy as a tool for productive inclusion, income generation, and social development. The training is primarily directed toward young people from peripheral territories to increase access for historically marginalized groups to the audiovisual market.
The program is divided into two groups totaling 120 spots. The first group took place in Rio de Janeiro until August 22, while the second group is held from August 24 to 29 at the Instituto Claudinho Guimarães in central Maricá. André Vaz, CEO of AVS Eventos, stated that the initiative seeks to show that audiovisual production can serve as a tool for professional training and personal expression.
