Auditori Josep Carreras announces 24th season and new composer residency

The Auditori Josep Carreras in Vila-seca has announced its 24th concert season, which will run from October 4, 2026, to June 6, 2027. The season features 34 musical proposals and introduces a new residency program for composers.

Ramon Humet, a recipient of the Reina Sofía Award for Musical Composition, will serve as the inaugural composer in residence. As part of this role, Humet has been commissioned to create a new work dedicated to the sculptor Josep Maria Subirachs to mark the centenary of his birth. This piece is scheduled to be performed by the Ensemble O Vos Omnes on April 4.

The season's programming also includes performances by Rodrigo Cuevas for the 24th Benevolent Gala of the Josep Carreras Foundation against Leukemia, and an acoustic concert by Manu Guix to benefit PortAventura Dreams Village. Other notable musical highlights include premieres by the MuOM Overtone Singing Choir and pianist Daniel Ariño.
