Auditorio Metro Station unveils world's largest holographic mural

Mexico City Mayor Clara Brugada Molina inaugurated a massive holographic mural titled ‘Apoteosis’ at the Auditorio Metro Station on Line 7. Created by artist Federico Kampf, the work covers 750 square meters and has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest of its kind in the world.

The mural utilizes a technique that incorporates the movement of commuters to create a changing perspective, blending Western and Mexican traditions through symbolic representations of figures such as Apollo, Dionysus, Quetzalcóatl, and Xochipilli.

This artistic installation is part of a broader modernization effort for the Mexico City Metro. Brugada noted that 25 million pesos have been invested this year for the integral modernization of the system, including the renovation of Line 1 and Line 2, with plans to transform Line 3 next year.
