Audrey Werro wins 800m at Lausanne Diamond League

At the Athletissima Diamond League meeting in Lausanne, Swiss athlete Audrey Werro secured her fifth consecutive Diamond League victory, winning the women’s 800 metres in a meeting record time of 1:55.33. She narrowly defeated Femke Broeders-Bol of the Netherlands, who set a new Dutch national record with a time of 1:55.41.

Other notable results from the event included Letsile Tebogo winning the men’s 200m in 19.87 seconds and Masai Russell setting a meeting record in the 100m hurdles with 12.27 seconds. In the women’s pole vault, American Hana Moll took the victory with a height of 4.84m, ahead of Switzerland’s Angelica Moser.

In the men’s 110m hurdles, Jason Joseph claimed third place with a time of 13.29 seconds. The meeting saw several other records and podium finishes for Swiss athletes, including Moser in pole vault and Joseph in hurdles, despite challenging weather conditions during parts of the event.
