Augustine Boakye to return to AS Saint-Étienne early

Augustine Boakye is set to return to AS Saint-Étienne earlier than expected following the cancellation of a friendly match between Ghana and Morocco. The offensive midfielder, who participated in Ghana's previous two matches during the international break, will be able to rejoin training with the club on Tuesday.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced the cancellation of the scheduled Sunday fixture without providing official reasons. Speculation regarding the decision includes a high number of player injuries or internal disputes concerning unpaid match bonuses. While the Ghanaian squad's gathering continues, the cancellation allows Boakye to return to coach Ian Cathro ahead of the league's resumption.
