Augustos Korto discusses coming out, parental acceptance and mother's suicide on Greek TV

Greek author Augustos Korto appeared as a guest on the online program “Rainbow Mermaids”. He spoke openly about his sexual orientation, the bullying he faced growing up, and how his father and other parents of his generation initially struggled to accept their gay children but eventually came to understand their happiness.

Korto also recounted the tragic suicide of his mother, describing the circumstances and his reflections on the burden of mental distress, noting that she had taken a large number of pills in an attempt to end her life.
