Aunt Bessie's undergoes major rebranding with new logo
The British frozen food brand Aunt Bessie's has unveiled a major rebranding effort, replacing its long-standing logo with a more 'contemporary' version. The original character, an elderly woman depicted with a mixing bowl and spoon, has been replaced by a younger, 'fresher-faced' version of the character with her arms wide open.
Claire Hoyle, the brand's head of marketing, described the change as a 'glow-up' intended to make the character feel more welcoming and reflective of shifting eating habits. The company noted that while the visual identity has changed, the foundational recipes remain the same. The brand, which was founded in 1974 and sold to Nomad Foods in 2018, is primarily known for its Yorkshire puddings and various roast dinner accompaniments.
