AUR leads Romanian political polls with nearly 40% support
A recent INSCOP Research poll indicates that the AUR party is leading political intentions in Romania with approximately 39.7% of the vote. This figure rises to 40.2% among respondents who state they will definitely vote. In contrast, traditional parties such as PSD (18.7%), PNL (16.3%), and USR (9%) remain significantly lower in the rankings.
Political leaders from the former governing coalition, including PNL and USR, have responded to these findings by discussing potential technocratic governments or early elections. Analysts suggest that the prolonged political crisis and the erosion of established parties may be indirectly consolidating support for AUR.
Mathematical simulations for specific constituencies, such as Bistrița-Năsăud, suggest that AUR's high national percentage could allow it to secure multiple mandates through national redistribution methods, potentially challenging the seat distribution of other major parties.
