AUR party faces allegations of financial and data manipulation
An investigation by Snoop has revealed allegations regarding the internal operations of the AUR party in Romania. Former members claim the party's mobile application serves as a tool for political control and financial collection, where paying membership fees and recruiting new users are prerequisites for advancing within the party hierarchy or securing spots on electoral lists.
An audio recording reportedly featuring George Simion has surfaced, in which he provides instructions regarding the collection of money and the manual modification of member data within the application. The recording includes Simion discussing the collection of funds from specific individuals and the adjustment of membership seniority to allow certain people to participate in internal elections.
Mihai Crăciun, a former local councilor for AUR in Suceava, alleges he was pressured to pay monthly sums without receiving receipts as a condition for remaining in the party. Other former members have described the application as a mechanism to track personal data and influence political advancement through financial contributions.
