Aura Borborema funds marching band for Currais Novos youth project
The Polícia Mirim project in Currais Novos has received R$50,000 from Aura Borborema to renew its marching band equipment. The funding, provided through a social projects call, will allow 50 students to debut new gear during the September 7th civic parade.
The resources were used to purchase wind and percussion instruments, complete uniforms including boots for all participating children and adolescents, and office supplies for project management. Coordinated by Sergeant Geonardo Abdias, the initiative has operated in the municipality for 11 years, focusing on discipline and citizenship through music.
