Aura Nails Trend Gains Momentum in Slovakia and Czech Republic

The "aura nails" style, which creates a soft, blurred colour gradient that appears to glow from within the nail, is rapidly spreading across Central Europe. The look relies on air‑brush technology to achieve the delicate transitions and has been embraced by celebrities such as Dua Lipa, according to star nail artist Michelle Humphrey.

In the Czech Republic, nail professionals led by Monika Jurčíková of Mona Art Nail Academy note that while bold nail art still has a following, many clients now prefer subtler designs like the "baby boomer" milky tip, classic French manicures and the return of square‑shaped nails. Social media platforms, especially Instagram and Pinterest, drive the rapid diffusion of these trends. New social‑event formats such as "beauty parties"—where groups gather for shared nail‑care experiences—are also gaining popularity.

Both markets stress the importance of proper nail health, warning against using nails as tools and recommending professional care to avoid damage.
