Aureka Biotechnologies raises $100 million in Series B funding

Aureka Biotechnologies has secured $100 million in Series B financing to advance its biological foundation models and closed-loop AI-native drug discovery infrastructure. This latest round brings the company’s total funding to nearly $200 million.

The funding was structured in tranches, with Granite Asia exclusively funding the first tranche. A subsequent tranche was led by a prominent strategic investor, with participation from HighLight Capital and follow-on investments from existing shareholders MPCi and NRL Capital.

Aureka intends to use the proceeds primarily for the research and large-scale training of its next generation of biological foundation models. These models aim to improve performance in areas such as de novo molecular design, biological structure modeling, and function prediction. Additionally, the company will upgrade its ‘Lab-in-the-Loop’ platform, which integrates AI models with proprietary single-cell functional screening and high-throughput experimental validation to create a continuous feedback loop for drug development.
