Aureka reports visible gold at Comstock Gold Project

Aureka has reported the first visible gold occurrences within the secondary Walkers structures at its St Arnaud Comstock Gold Project in Victoria. During a diamond drilling program, hole NED035 intersected visible gold grains measuring 1–2mm at 21.7m downhole, and an additional 13 grains at 61.2m downhole.

Managing Director James Gurry noted that these findings occur within the pit targeted for the company’s proposed small-scale production. The drilling campaign is part of an 1,100m program intended to validate historical results, increase drill density, and provide samples for metallurgical testing. The company aims to use this data to potentially reclassify part of the Comstock inferred mineral resource into a higher-confidence category.

Aureka has established a binding toll-milling agreement with the Wedderburn Gold Mill to support its production pathway. While the visual observations are significant for targeting confidence, the company stated that they do not indicate specific grades and are not a substitute for laboratory assay results, which are expected within three to five weeks.
