Aurelian Gogulescu, Prahova Chamber of Commerce President, dies

Aurelian Gogulescu, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Prahova, has passed away on Wednesday, August 19, the day he would have turned 74.

Gogulescu was a prominent figure in the Romanian business community and served as the President for Economic Diplomacy of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania. He also held the position of honorary consul of the Republic of North Macedonia in Romania. He was re-elected to a four-year mandate at the head of the Prahova Chamber in November 2022.

His funeral service is scheduled for Friday, August 21, at 11:00 AM at the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in Ploiești. Colleagues and local business leaders have described him as a mentor and a key promoter of economic diplomacy who helped connect the Prahova region with international partners.
