Aurelio Amendola monograph released alongside Milan exhibition

Skira has released a new monograph titled ‘Aurelio Amendola. Capolavori fotografati’ to coincide with the ongoing exhibition at Palazzo Reale in Milan. The volume features 85 photographs captured between 1976 and 2025, documenting over fifty years of research by the contemporary art photographer.

The book creates a dialogue between Amendola’s work on classical sculptors such as Michelangelo, Bernini, and Canova, and his depictions of 20th-century artists including Alberto Burri, Emilio Vedova, and Hermann Nitsch. It also includes previously unpublished photographs of the Duomo di Milano.

To mark the publication, Aurelio Amendola will lead a special guided tour of the exhibition at Palazzo Reale on Thursday, September 3, at 19:00, followed by a book signing session. The exhibition is scheduled to run until September 6.
