Aurelio De Laurentiis praises FIFA President Gianni Infantino's World Cup organization

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has offered a mixed assessment of FIFA President Gianni Infantino, praising the organization of the recent World Cup despite previous criticisms. Speaking at an event in Rome, De Laurentiis noted that while he initially felt a strong urge to criticize Infantino, the impressive stadium organization and overall management of the tournament compelled him to offer praise.

De Laurentiis commented on Infantino’s global influence, noting his ability to engage with world leaders, and stated that the FIFA president operates from his own unique perspective. However, the Napoli chairman was more critical regarding the state of the sport in Europe, arguing that while the United States remains a stable beacon for athletics, European football is currently facing a crisis.
