Aurélie Casse appointed as substitute presenter for France 2 news

Aurélie Casse has been appointed as the substitute presenter for the 8 p.m. news on France 2, starting during the All Saints' Day holidays. This move follows the departure of Léa Salamé, who stepped down from her role due to her presidential candidacy for 2027 to maintain journalistic impartiality.

Casse will serve as the substitute for Jean-Baptiste Marteau. In addition to this new role, she will continue to host the weekend editions of ‘C dans l’air’ and the Sunday magazine ‘Le monde en face’ on France 5.

A veteran journalist, Casse’s career includes roles at LCI, i-Télé, and BFMTV before joining the public service broadcaster. Her background includes studies in law and journalism, and she has previously hosted programs such as ‘C l’hebdo’.
