Aurélie Casse debuts as France 2 news anchor

Journalist Aurélie Casse has begun her tenure as the official substitute presenter for the France 2 20:00 news program. Stepping in for Jean-Baptiste Marteau during the Toussaint holidays, Casse follows Léa Salamé, who was removed from the airwaves to maintain journalistic impartiality due to her partner Raphaël Glucksmann’s 2027 presidential candidacy.

Audience figures for Casse’s debut were strong, drawing approximately 3.91 million viewers, representing a 22.7% market share. While these numbers did not surpass the TF1 news program led by Gilles Bouleau, which attracted over 5 million viewers, the performance was noted as a success. Viewers have responded positively to her presentation style.
