Aurélien Dunand-Pallaz sets new GR20 record in Corsica
Ultra-trail runner Aurélien Dunand-Pallaz has set a new Fastest Known Time (FKT) on the GR20 in Corsica, completing the demanding route from Calenzana to Conca in 27 hours and 29 minutes.
This performance significantly surpasses the previous record of 29 hours and 46 minutes set by François D’Haene in July, shaving more than two hours off the previous mark. The course covers approximately 160 kilometers with 12,180 meters of positive elevation gain across highly technical terrain.
Dunand-Pallaz, a 33-year-old athlete from Annecy, utilized a support team including Arthur Joyeux-Bouillon and Théo Détienne to manage the logistics of the attempt. His success follows previous major victories in races such as the Hardrock 100 and La Diagonale des Fous.
