Aurore Delplace's pregnancy kept off 'Un si grand soleil' storyline
Actress Aurore Delplace, who plays lawyer Johanna in the daily French soap *Un si grand soleil*, announced she is expecting her second child with husband Kevin Levy. In an interview with Allociné, Delplace said the production team has decided to conceal her pregnancy on‑screen and will not incorporate it into the show's plot. The crew has already begun hiding her belly, a common practice when an actress’s real pregnancy does not fit the narrative. Delplace noted she was willing to let the writers use her pregnancy, but producers judged it too risky and disruptive for the current story arc, which sees Johanna navigating a recent divorce and personal turmoil.
The decision means the character Johanna will not become pregnant on the series, despite the actress’s real‑life expectancy of a second child. This marks the second occasion the show has hidden Delplace’s pregnancy, the first being after her first child was born in 2021.
