AusQuest and Larvotto report drilling updates on Australian mineral projects

AusQuest Ltd. is addressing drilling difficulties at its Coober Pedy Iron‑Oxide Copper‑Gold Project in South Australia after only three of fifteen planned reverse‑circulation holes intersected the target basement rocks. An extensive quartz‑sand unit overlying the basement proved hard to penetrate, prompting the hire of a second contractor to employ mud‑rotary drilling and case off the sand before completing the remaining holes to about 350 m. Managing Director Graeme Drew said Coober Pedy remains “a highly prospective target area” and expects assay results from the first three holes by the end of July 2026, with further drilling planned later in the year.

At the Hillgrove Antimony‑Gold Project in New South Wales, Larvotto Resources announced that recent drilling at the Midas lode returned high‑grade intersections, including 8 m at 16.11 g/t gold‑equivalent and a “highest‑grade” 4.5 m at 27.78 g/t. Managing Director Ron Heeks highlighted the “excellent drill results” as evidence of wide zones of mineralisation and strong vertical continuity, suggesting the resource could double the current mine life of Hillgrove. The company is continuing with two rigs to advance toward a maiden resource estimate for Midas.
