AUST Centre to induct eight Senior Fellows for Pan-African development

The Centre for Pan-African and Peace Studies (CePAPS) at the African University of Science and Technology (AUST) in Abuja will induct eight professionals as its inaugural cohort of Senior Fellows on October 26.

The fellows represent a multidisciplinary group with expertise in diplomacy, governance, science, technology, and research. Notable inductees include Ambassador Jean Robert Pillard, Haiti’s Ambassador to South Africa, and Dr. Dakuku Peterside, former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency.

According to CePAPS Leader Dr. Bosco Okolo-Obi, the initiative aims to create a platform for intellectual exchange and policy engagement to address development challenges across the continent. The network is intended to bridge the gap between academia, government, and industry to advance Pan-African scholarship and sustainable development.
