Austin Film Festival announces lineup including British films

The Austin Film Festival, scheduled for October 28 to November 5, has announced several major additions to its lineup, including notable British films.

Among the highlights is Elsinore, directed by Simon Stone and starring Andrew Scott. The film depicts the true story of Ian Charleson’s 1990 performance as Hamlet at London’s National Theatre while he was battling AIDS. Also joining the lineup is Tender Loving Care, a comedy-tinged drama about family and aging directed by Mike Leigh.

The festival will also host several world premieres, such as the techno-thriller Remote, starring Adrianne Palicki, and Chris Gary’s Chasing Time. Other featured titles include the Australian crime comedy Pickpockets and the wedding farce The Toast.
