Austin food and beverage industry updates

Austin's hospitality sector is seeing a mix of new developments, expansions, and closures. Ghoul Coffee Company has signed a lease for its first brick-and-mortar location on South Congress Avenue, with an expected opening in summer 2027. In Pflugerville, Hopdoddy Burger Bar is scheduled to open its first location in the area on October 27.

Conversely, some establishments are winding down. The upstairs pasta restaurant Marinara Miracles has closed following the conclusion of operations at the Valhalla Tavern music venue. Additionally, Ani's Day and Night has issued a public call for community support, noting that the business is currently facing difficult times.

The local craft beer scene remains active with numerous releases and events scheduled for late October. Notable brewery activities include new releases from 512 Brewing, Oddwood Brewing, and Elmo Brewing, alongside various community events such as the Nolan Creek Brewery 4-year anniversary and the 12 Fox Beer chili cook-off.
