Austin Peay men’s basketball retains full coaching staff

Austin Peay State University head men’s basketball coach Corey Gipson has announced that his entire coaching staff will return for the 2026-27 campaign. This follows a championship season in which the team secured the Atlantic Sun Conference Regular-Season Championship and broke multiple records.

According to a nationwide survey, Austin Peay is one of only 20 Division I programs out of 365 to retain its full staff. Furthermore, the Governors are one of only five teams to have won a conference title in the 2025-26 season and subsequently retain their entire staff. The returning personnel includes associate and assistant coaches, the director of basketball operations, video and analytics coordinator, director of player development, director of player personnel, and a special assistant to the head coach.
