Austin Peay State University defeats West Florida 38-16

Austin Peay State University secured a significant 38-16 road victory against the 17th-ranked West Florida. This win marks the Governors' largest margin of victory against a top-25 opponent in program history and their first road win against a ranked foe since 2021.

Quarterback Chris Parson led the offense, completing 7 of 16 passes for 149 yards and a 61-yard touchdown to Jaden Robinson, while also adding a 10-yard rushing touchdown. The ground game was supported by Courtland Simmons, who recorded 78 yards and a score on 17 carries. Denver Harper contributed a 41-yard touchdown run during the first quarter.

The Austin Peay defense forced three turnovers, including a 70-yard interception return for a touchdown by Justin Wimpye, which helped seal the win. West Florida's Ty'ray Davis threw one touchdown and one interception during the contest.
