Austin Peay State University receives grant for military student support
Austin Peay State University (APSU) has been awarded a Veteran Initiatives Grant from the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC). The funding is part of a $1 million statewide initiative approved by the Tennessee General Assembly to expand mental health, well-being, and academic support resources for military-affiliated students.
APSU is one of six institutions selected as established VETS Campuses to receive these funds. The grant aims to assist veterans, active-duty service members, National Guard and Reserve personnel, and their families. As a VETS Bravo Campus, APSU serves the largest military-affiliated student population of any public university in Tennessee.
