Austin Peay State University soccer plays to first draw of season

The Austin Peay State University women's soccer team recorded its first draw of the season in a match against Indiana State at Morgan Bros. Field.

Austin Peay took an early 1-0 lead in the fourth minute when Kayla Barr scored her first goal of the season, assisted by freshman Makai King. Indiana State equalized in the 48th minute of the second half with a goal from Meagyn Riffle.

To maintain the tie, Austin Peay goalkeeper Megan Waskiewicz made three saves, including crucial stops in the 57th and 85th minutes. The Governors are scheduled to begin a two-game road stretch starting against Evansville on Thursday.
