Seamus Power and Austin Smotherman to playoff for Bermuda Championship title

Severe weather and wind gusts exceeding 40 mph at Port Royal Golf Course forced PGA Tour officials to cancel the final round of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship on Sunday. Due to an unfavorable forecast for Monday, the tournament was reduced to a 54-hole event, with all finishing positions finalized except for the winner.

Seamus Power and Austin Smotherman are tied for the lead at 16-under par. The two golfers are scheduled to compete in a sudden-death playoff on Monday morning, tentatively set for 9:00 a.m. local time at the par-3 16th hole, weather permitting. The winner will receive $1.08 million from the $6 million total purse.

Other notable finishers include Taylor Moore, Corey Conners, and Ben Silverman, who are tied for third at 14-under par. The cancellation of the final round prevents players from improving their standing, including South Korean golfer Sungjae Im (referred to as Seung-Yeol Noh in some reports), who finished tied for 17th at 10-under par.
