Australia A has announced its squad for the upcoming tour of India, which includes a four-day leg in Puducherry followed by three 50-over matches. The tour serves as a platform for players to audition for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy campaign.

Peter Handscomb, 35, leads the four-day squad as its most experienced member, seeking to revive his Test career after not appearing in international cricket since the 2023 tour of India. The pace attack will feature Brendan Doggett and Jhye Richardson, the latter returning to first-class cricket following shoulder surgeries.

Other notable inclusions for the tour include Todd Murphy, Sam Konstas, and Nathan McSweeney. For the one-day squad, young fast bowler Mahli Beardman headlines the group alongside Spencer Johnson. Selection boss George Bailey noted that the tour is a key part of developing game styles for subcontinent conditions.
