Australia and New Zealand to compete for Rose Bowl in Sydney T20I series
Australia and New Zealand will compete for the Rose Bowl trophy during a three-match Women’s T20I series in Sydney. The matches are scheduled for October 18, 20, and 22, 2026, at North Sydney Oval.
Under a new arrangement, the historic Rose Bowl trophy, which has been held by Australia since February 2000, will now be contested across all bilateral white-ball series between the two nations. While traditionally awarded during One-Day International (ODI) series, the trophy will now be up for grabs in both T20 and ODI fixtures. In cases where a series is tied, the current holders will retain the trophy.
Australia will be led by Sophie Molineux, following their 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup victory. New Zealand will be captained by Amelia Kerr. The T20 series is part of a larger international schedule that includes a separate three-match ODI series in March 2027.
