Australian High Commissioner to India Philip Green has announced the dates for Exercise Talisman Sabre 2027, scheduled to take place from August 9 to 22, 2027. The upcoming military drill is expected to be the largest and most ambitious edition to date, characterized by increased scale and complexity.

India is confirmed to participate in the exercise, a development following the second India-Australia Defence Ministers’ Dialogue co-chaired by Rajnath Singh and Richard Marles. The exercise aims to strengthen partnerships and interoperability across the Indo-Pacific to ensure a free and open region. Planning is currently underway in Canberra to facilitate expanded integration among international participating nations.
