Australia announces team for World Athletics Road Running Championships

Australian Athletics has announced the team selected to compete in the World Athletics Road Running Championships, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from September 19-20.

The squad features a mix of established international competitors and emerging talent. Among the notable athletes is Rose Davies, who recently achieved a double gold medal win in the 5000m and 10,000m at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Davies will compete in the women’s 5km event.

Representing the men is Haftu Strintzos, the recent Australian marathon record holder. Strintzos, who recorded a time of 2:06:20 at the Gold Coast Marathon in July, is set to compete in the half marathon event.
