Australia records 53 H5N1 bird flu cases as outbreak spreads
Australia has confirmed 53 detections of the H5N1 bird‑flu virus in wild seabirds, including seagulls and greater crested terns, across Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and Kangaroo Island.
