Australia faces selection dilemma following Boland's performance

Australia faces a difficult selection decision for the upcoming series decider against South Africa in Cape Town following Scott Boland's performance in Gqeberha. Despite Australia's innings-and-31-run loss, Boland delivered a standout performance, taking 5-81 and including four of the first five wickets. He also provided a resilient 166-ball nightwatchman innings on the final day.

Boland's inclusion for the next Test remains uncertain as he competes for spots against Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, and Josh Hazlewood. Captain Pat Cummins praised Boland's grit and bowling, noting, “I don't think he can do much more. Five-fer, pick of the bowls.”

Selection will also depend on pitch conditions in Cape Town. If a spinner is required, Nathan Lyon may return to the lineup, further complicating the rotation of the fast-bowling quartet.
