Australia leg-spinner Adam Zampa signs with Queensland for 2026‑27 season

Australia’s premier white‑ball leg‑spinner Adam Zampa has been approved by Cricket Australia to switch from New South Wales to Queensland for the 2026‑27 domestic season. The 34‑year‑old will join Queensland’s squad alongside nationally contracted players such as Marnus Labuschagne and Michael Neser, providing the side with additional experience in its high‑performance program.

Zampa’s move is part of a broader effort to increase his training proximity, with Queensland’s facilities only two hours from his home on the northern NSW coast. His availability early in the season will be limited by Australia’s upcoming ODI tours of South Africa and Zimbabwe in September‑October and a home series against England in November.
