Wyong Mother Charged with Murder After Alleged Cannibalism of 4-Year-Old Son
A 32‑year‑old mother in Wyong on New South Wales’ Central Coast voluntarily presented herself to police on Saturday, admitting she may have consumed parts of her four‑year‑old son’s body. Police entered the family home and discovered the boy’s deceased body with severe injuries to his arms; investigators described the scene as “extremely shocking.”
The woman has been charged with murder in connection with domestic‑violence related killing and is being held without bail. Authorities have obtained a court order for forensic sampling of the mother’s mouth, fingernails and blood to determine whether cannibalism occurred and to clarify the cause and timing of the child’s death.
