Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji strengthen tourism cooperation

Tourism industry leaders from Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji have met in Suva to strengthen regional cooperation and trade ties. The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) and the Travel Agents’ Association of New Zealand (TAANZ) held discussions with Fijian government and tourism representatives to address the future of the sector as Fiji implements changes to its tourism settings.

In a joint statement, the associations described the meeting as a “maturing of the relationship” and an “elevated step” in how the three nations work together. The discussions aimed to establish a more regular dialogue between the respective governments and their tourism industries. Both organizations expressed a commitment to working with Fijian counterparts to ensure stability and growth in a market that remains a primary destination for Australian and New Zealander travelers.
