Australia Post signs three-year connectivity deal with Telstra

Australia Post has entered into a multimillion-dollar, three-year agreement with Telstra to upgrade connectivity across nearly 4,000 locations nationwide. The partnership aims to strengthen the digital infrastructure supporting the postal service’s retail and logistics networks, including post offices, delivery centres, data centres, and corporate sites.

As part of the rollout, approximately 300 locations will be upgraded to fibre-to-the-premises connectivity. Additionally, various regional sites will transition to Telstra satellite internet over the next 12 months. Australia Post is also utilizing Telstra’s ‘Adaptive Networks Centre,’ a digital platform that allows for centralized oversight and management of network services.

Telstra reported that the transition is tracking ahead of schedule, having already moved more than 1,000 sites since July, with an average of 220 transitions occurring weekly. Australia Post executives stated the investment is intended to improve operational performance and enhance service reliability for customers in metropolitan, regional, and remote areas.
