Australia Powerball jackpot split among four winners

Four Australians have split a $20.8 million Powerball jackpot after correctly matching all seven winning numbers and the Powerball in draw 1581. Each winner will receive $5,200,007.13.

Three of the winners purchased their tickets via The Lott’s website or app, while the fourth winner purchased an entry in person. Winners include a woman from Nambucca Heads, a man from Murarrie in East Brisbane, and a resident of Berwick in East Melbourne. One winner noted the windfall would allow for a reduction in work hours, while another expressed plans for retirement.

This event marks only the second time in the last decade that a Powerball jackpot has been shared by four people. In addition to the division one winners, 40 Australians won $13,089.15 each in division two, and 34 players won $19,046.15 each in division three.
