Australia: Two men charged with murder in separate fatal incidents

Police in Australia have charged two men in connection with separate fatal incidents in Melbourne and Brisbane.

In Melbourne’s southeast, a 36-year-old man from Dandenong has been charged with murder following the death of a 27-year-old. The victim was found unresponsive at a home on Banksia Street in Doveton last Thursday. Investigators believe the victim and the suspect were known to each other.

In Queensland, a 32-year-old man faces murder charges after the body of 65-year-old Tony Cue was discovered in a Woodridge unit. Police were alerted to the North Road address during a welfare check on Tuesday morning. Detective Inspector Ian Galpin noted that an ‘obvious injury’ led authorities to declare a crime scene. The suspect was arrested in Beenleigh and is scheduled to appear in court.

Neighbors in Woodridge reported that Cue had lived in the complex for over 30 years and had been seen performing routine activities the day before he was found.
