Australia wins 2026 ISA World Junior Surfing Championship

Australia secured the team title at the 2026 ISA World Junior Surfing Championship in El Salvador, marking their third consecutive overall victory. The competition, held at La Bocana and El Sunzal, featured athletes from nine nations.

In individual performances, 13-year-old Leihani Zoric set a record as the youngest winner in the U18 girls' division, scoring 16.00 points in the final. Australia also claimed gold in the U16 boys' division through Locana Cullen and the U16 girls' division via Lucy Darragh.

Other notable results included Taro Matsuno of Japan earning a silver medal in the U16 boys' category, while Jet Morgan of the United States took the U18 boys' title. The event also saw historic podium finishes for athletes from the Netherlands, Brazil, and Argentina.
