Australia Women win Rose Bowl trophy after rain-shortened series finale

Australia Women secured a 2-0 T20I series victory against New Zealand Women, claiming the Rose Bowl trophy after the third and final match at North Sydney Oval was abandoned due to persistent rain.

The match was significantly delayed by over an hour before being reduced to 14 overs per side. New Zealand reached 14 for 2 in 2.4 overs before umpires called off the contest. Earlier in the innings, Sophie Molineux dismissed Melie Kerr in the opening over, marking her 20th career wicket, and Kim Garth removed Georgia Plimmer shortly after.

Australia had already clinched the series by winning the first two matches. The opening fixture on October 18 was a close two-wicket victory for Australia, while the second match on October 20 saw Australia win by 40 runs after posting 167/7 and restricting New Zealand to 127/8. Ashleigh Gardner was named Player of the Series.
